So, on my list of things to do in 2018 (Sub Section: ‘home improvement’) is ‘transform‘ my son’s
wannabe nursery into one ‘Big Boy‘ bedroom. The room has grown with him – from being his nursery, to his playroom, to now (finally) a bedroom (where he will sleep for the duration of one night – my fingers and toes are crossed)
Part of the make over includes a memory wall (or a gallery wall, but memory wall sounds way more interesting)- which will have his ‘shadow box’, birth announcement and photos. I definitely wanted a canvas photo to highlight his ‘cake smash’ and decided to order one online from PhotoWall
Shipping took about 4 days, it came straight to my doorstep (one day before Christmas, yay!) AND took less than 10 minutes to put together 🙂
I ordered a canvas print that included a ‘do-it-yourself-frame’ with a printed edge. A printed edge means that the photograph wraps along the edge of the frame (makes it look fancy). The box had the canvas print, tenter frames, corner plates, screws and instructions on how to put them all together.
It was absolutely fuss free – layout the canvas, adhere the self adhesive tenter frames, fold over the printed edge, attach the corner plates with the screws and you are DONE!
So the photo canvas is ready! Now to get chugging and actually put the memory wall together (that is the making of another blog post!) AND if you live in Oman and are wondering who photographed Ethan’s cake smash? One awesomely talented (incredibly patient) Herbert Fernandes 🙂
