Today is the 1st of March (it’s clichéd to say that time flies BUT it does!) two months down the rest of the year to go.
I spend the beginning of every year pondering over what I can do better in the new year – it’s a childhood habit and this year was no different. I’ve always been a person who writes stuff down – I can think clearly only when I see my thoughts on paper (all big decisions need a nice ‘pros’ and ‘cons’ exercise)
It’s never easy to set your intentions (you might just be stuck! don’t stress – we are only 2 months in). There is always so much to do and the new year is a very tempting time to make ‘false promises’ to yourself (it’s amazing how much I think I can get done in the beginning of every year, AMAZING).
I’ve realized that being grateful for achievements in the past year always helps get me in the mood to set new year goals. Being thankful for the year that goes by also lets you look back on what you ‘realistically‘ achieved during the year. It’s never too late to set your intentions for the year – you still have a good 10 months to realize them 🙂
I normally use my diary to write down my ‘Thank yous’ & ‘To Dos’ but this year I used my new found digital calligraphy & watercolour skills to create fun templates that can be either printed or used on your device. The templates were created in ‘Procreate‘ using the watercolour floral brushes from ‘ipadlettering‘
The first template encourages gratitude for the year gone by. I intentionally made room for 5 points because being thankful doesn’t come easily to everyone.
The second template encourages you to set goals or intentions for the new year. Again, I’ve limited them to 5 because I tend to get over enthusiastic (and then grumpy when I fall short)
The file is A4 but I prefer using it in A5 (It fits perfectly in most diaries). You can adjust the settings while printing.
I use the template on my iPad Pro, just export the same .jpeg (click the link above to download) to either ‘paper 53′ or ‘procreate‘ or ‘goodnotes‘ (use the PDF) and you are good to go !
Go ahead and knock yourself out!
